Wild Geese by Mary Oliver

You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.

Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain are moving across the landscapes, over the prairies and the deep trees, the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clear blue air, are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting – over and over announcing your place in the family of things.

Vulnerability

Today I got to thinking about vulnerability.

I was startled a bit by the definition that I found in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary

vulnerable – adjective

1 : capable of being physically or emotionally wounded
2 : open to attack or damage

From this definition I gather that being vulnerable is akin to being weak; not only as defined in the dictionary but impressed upon us by “societal norms”. It is being wounded, damaged and unworthy. No wonder the world is in the state that it is currently in – it is inhabited by the walking wounded. A population awaiting attack – constantly on guard. What a deprived vibration to live in.

How long can one really go on like this?

Which made me think – what if being vulnerable was regarded as being brave?

brave – adjective

1 : having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear or difficulty: having or showing courage

What if by revealing your vulnerability you are courageous, strong and resilient? By being vulnerable you are acknowledging your insecurities and regarding yourself with love. Living with grace and compassion towards others and most importantly yourself. What if we moved from a place of fear to a place of bravery? Bravery from a foundation of compassion, sharing and empathy.

Tune into your body as you consider the word vulnerable. Close your eyes and envision what being vulnerable imprints into your mind. Is the vulnerability from a place of fear and weakness? Or, is it from a place of compassion, courage and strength?

Our minds are powerful – be conscious of this as you move throughout your day. As you feel fear from being vulnerable re-frame those thoughts to compassion, courage and bravery. See how you shift – see how your world shifts.

Beginnings

Beginnings are exciting and beautiful. They fill us with hope. They represent the blank pages in our story full of unlimited possibilities. Optimism and light. The opportunity for us to be the delightfully naive optimistic Fool.

The part that we seem to forget is that these beginnings come after endings.

Endings that can be hard, painful and soul crushing. They can test the limits of our belief in ourselves, they demand that we come face to face with things that we bury deep inside. These are our Tower moments. The inevitable collapse of our quaint reality. Illuminating the caverns of our psyche so that we can no longer ignore the things that are shoved into the recesses of our minds.

In order to reach the yellow brick road to our new beginning we have to evolve. This requires dedication, consistency and an unconditional love for ourselves. We must move through grief to reach acceptance and take responsibility for our narrative.

One of my new favorite quotes is from Maryann Steiner of the Lily Dale Assembly –

What if you simply devote this year to loving yourself?.

So my dear readers I ask you, what if you simply devote this year to loving yourself? What do you need to release? What do you need to bring in? How would you have to change your expectation of what the future should be so that it reflects your true soul desires and your purest joy?

You deserve infinite happiness. You deserve to be loved for your true soul self. You deserve to be The Magician. The endless creator of your divine physical reality. Because you deserve The World

So, no matter where you are; in the middle, near the end or at the beginning of a timeline, move forward with grace, compassion and unconditional love for yourself. Be slow, consistent and patient as you revolve back to becoming the naive optimistic Fool.

With Love,

Amber

Why PWYC Tarot Readings

Playing cards have been recorded in history as far back as 618 AD, Tang Dynasty, China. Over time they have been controversial, banned and regarded only for kings.

Modern tarot is widely practiced, more accessible and becoming mainstream. Although it is more accessible there are still barriers for some people & I want to ensure that finance is not one of them.

There is something very empowering about being able to pause, evaluate and look across your timeline to see if that is something that you can work with or can help to prepare you. These are things I feel all people should have access to.

“Tarot helps with decision making, irrespective of one’s faith.”

Benebell Wen, Holistic Tarot

I would never want money to prevent someone from accessing resources that can help.

There are times when we are abundant, times when we have available energy or services to exchange. There are also times when we just need help to see the signs. Be kind to yourself and quiet your ego mind. Because, there will be times when you are able to help someone else. You will be able to pay that love vibration forward.

So, if you have found this, please book & believe in the beauty of synchronicity.

With Love,

Amber
